Paws for Patriots Golf Tournament

Old Town Chapter Harley Owners Group (OTC HOG) has been involved with the Paws for Patriots for the past seven years. For 2013, we will be hosting our 6th annual Paws for Patriots Golf tournament. Our theme is Help Us Help a Soldier. These veterans need our help. The Veterans Administration does not recognize service animals as a prosthetic need.

Through Southeastern Guide Dogs and your private donations, we are able to assist visually impaired Veterans in having a better life through three levels of service:

1. To provide a live-in guide dog to visually impaired veterans

2. Dogs that are not suited for a guiding career may become Veteran Assistance Dogs who provide comfort to veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, and

3. Facility Therapy Dogs, escorted by volunteer handlers, visiting wounded warriors recovering at military hospitals and veterans medical centers.

Proceeds from this event will help supply a deserving veteran with unconditional love from man’s best friend.
